How to Apply
?
The students who wants to study in SITM for undergraduate course has to apply for
Engineering entrance examination. The choice of stream depends on ranking of that
examination and availability of seats with the institute.
* For post graduate courses separate entrance test is conducted at state level.
SITM offers AICTE approved undergraduate & post-graduate programmes leading to B.E.(Bachelors of Engineering), M.E(Master in Engineering) & MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak in the following disciplines with the anual intake mentioned against each:

Minimum Academic Qualifications :* B.E.
1. He/She should be a passed 10+2 examination from the Goverment Recognized Board/University
2. He/She must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Computer Sc/ Information Sc., (iii) Bio-Technology (iv) Biology.
3. He/She should have a minimum percentage marks as recognized by GOVT.
or have passed Diploma Course in Engineering/ Technology of three years duration or more from the state board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent Diploma Examination.
Counseling shall be based on AIEEE-08 All India Rank |

Admissions under NRI seats: |
|
| |
Admission is open for NRI seats for academic session 2008-08. Applications are invited from Non-Resident Indians and/ or Children/ Wards of Non Resident Indians as per the details given in the NRI Information Brochure.
NRI Information Brochure and Application Forms are available on cash payment of Rs 500. In case the Application Form is downloaded from the website, completed form needs to be submitted along with Rs 500, failing which it will be summarily rejected. |

Admissions by Counseling conducted by HSCB |

| 1. |
Candidates must have valid All India Engineering Entrance Examination
(AIEEE) -2008 Rank. |
| 2. |
Candidates are required to get registered for On-line-Off Campus counseling by depositing counseling/ registration fee of Rs 300/- in cash/ cheque/ draft in the designated bank and designated branches (list available on http://scbh.nic.in/counseling). Fee along with details on prescribed format (available on website) is to be submitted at the designated bank. |

On registration, unique ID number to the candidate will be generated. The candidate for future login will use this ID. The candidates are advised to keep their ID confidential to avoid any misused by others. |

The candidate is required to fill in their choice of Institution and branch On line. This choice can be modified until it is locked. After choice has been locked it cannot be modified/ changed. |
| 5. |
Candidates can take part in HSCB/ NIC Counseling activity from any place in India where Internet facility is available. |
| 6. |
Admission result (i.e. allotment of institution and branch) will be displayed/ available on-line for the candidates who have participated in counseling. The candidates in person are required to report to the Institution (where they have been allotted admission through on-line counseling) for verification of document and deposit token fee of Rs 2500/- to block the seat in that institution. |
| Admissions by Counseling conducted by the Institute: |
| 1. |
The admission shall be granted in 4th and 7th counseling against vacant/lapsed seats in different branch after 1st/ 2nd and 3rd Counseling conducted by HSCB/ NIC. The candidates are required to get registered by submitting application form in person/ by courier to the Institute. |

Counseling shall be based on AIEEE-08 All India Rank, and if seat still remains vacant then on the basis of percentage Marks in qualifying examination |
| 3. |
Candidates already admitted in the institution may also participate in the 4th/ 7th counseling but their vacated seats will be also filled during same counseling. Their candidature and eligibility for admission shall be decided only on inter-say-merit along with other candidates. |

Selected candidates are required to deposit fee in full at the time of reporting after verification of documents. |
| 5. |
The candidates getting admitted to the institution are required to report with full baggage and preparedness to join classes immediately. |

7th counseling will be conducted only if seats are vacant. For details candidates are required to see the institute website for seat filled/ vacant updates |
